Our
Cobalt servers are set up to host email services
is a very manageable way. As the site administrator,
you can add or delete accounts and aliases, with
the levels set by your contract.
Your
users can log in to their personal administration
settings to set up mail forwarding (redirects
mail to another account), an auto responder message
('Sorry but I am away this week, I will get
back to you on my return') or simply to change
their password.
You
can set email aliases
(jane@company.com
and sales@company.com
both go to the same mailbox).
You can also set a catchall address so anything
@company.com will go to your account.

of our email accounts can be accessed via regular
pop mail applications. As an additional free service
for account holders, we are offering a webmail
system which can pick up and send your mail. Please
ask for further details.
If
you use a Microsoft Exchange server to send mail,
we have to make several changes to the account
configuration. This is only needed by people wishing
to use Microsoft Windows NT Exchange servers.
Netergy Virus and Spam Defence

Unsolicited commercial email. This is the "junk mail" of the internet that annoys receivers and gobbles up resources.
If it's selling something and you didn't ask for it or if you don't have a prior relationship with the sender, then it is spam!
 Spam
The longer an email address is valid, the more spam it will receive. Some internet old-timers that have had the same email address for years report that 30 - 50% of the email they receive is spam.
Until now, there were few choices to reduce spam. Some people regularly change their email address in an attempt to stay "one step ahead" of the spammers - but that's inconvenient. Some people use a separate email address for filling out web forms, but that's not only inconvenient, it means more work checking two email accounts, and it doesn't reduce or end the spam.
Any approach to filter spam has one danger: loss of legitimate email.
That's something neither you nor we can afford.
Anti Virus
This comes bundled with the Anti Spam Service, as part of the service. When an email arrives at our server, any attachments are immediately screened for Viruses. If one is found, it is immediately quarantined and an email is sent to the intended recipient, informing them that we have intercepted a virus. If they want, we can always send it on, although we do not recommend this!
